Hooray for Gather Cash-Outs!

Yes, I liked it better when I could cash out weekly and get $10-15 per week or more.  But, it appears that I'm doing something right and that "the tides are changing".

I do think it helps to use the bookmarks available at the middle of the page - submitting to Facebook, Twitter, and the rest.  When I make sure to do that, I usually get over 50-70 views (on something that is not controversial and something that my Gather frienemies won't attack with a vengeance).

It also helps to write one piece every few days that will generate more discussion.  (Gather drama, politics, and religion are topics that garner more discussion.  But be prepared with a thick skin because you cannot please everyone, and there will be Gather folks who disagree with you, and some none too kindly.)

It helps to have something regular that your Gather friends seek out.

It helps to have at least one Gather friend pop in to tell you that he/she has just visited every one of your photos or videos or some of your older posts.  And it helps if you do the same for at least one of your Gather friends.

Here's the result of all of the above.

After the last upgrade, I went from receiving $10-15 per week or more to $25 per month.

This time, it took only 20 days to get enough views to equal $25.

Soon, I hope to be back to getting that many points every 15 days.  Wish me luck!
