Have you ever had those days that drag into weeks and then months of life the hard way? I mean those times when you think you are not strong enough for this. Those times when you would just like to go back to bed, cover your head and stay there! I hate those times and they seem to last for months at a time.
My husband has been laid off and he just got back to work last week. The bills didn't quit coming nor did the problems. In fact I think they doubled.. . if that is possible. I know many of you are having a hard time right now. There is not a day goes by but what I don't think of Jax and her flooding issues along with all the medical problems they had. Shannon is in constant pain and I feel for her as well. I could name many of you who are having a hard time. I just wonder what keeps us all going?
We have stopped getting the newspaper except on Sunday. We get Sunday's paper because of the coupon sections. We shop for clothes at thrift stores and our meals are consisting more of beans than anything else. We have cut back on so many things that I wonder what else we can do to keep out of debt. We heat our home with coal and the government is trying to shut down the coal mines. That is where my husband works as well. Will it ever end? Are they trying to make all our lifestyles illegal?
They say the economy is getting better but it is getting worse in our community. Times are hard for all of us. What are you doing to save money?

Do you belong to a coupon site where you can print those you would use? I got to get my printer working so I can use them. Then also people are always posting about a website you can make money off. Most don't pay a lot but every little bit helps. I play on bing as well as post here for the gc and prizes. This year Christmas will be good because of Bing. I got many nice household and fun gifts for the kids.
We finally moved from a rented duplex to our little trailer. It's not much but its ours and not having to pay that $540 a month rent sure made a diff. Specially since the weather messed up his pay all summer and now winter coming in.
I was on my way to a seminar last week and a deer ran into the side of my car. Didn't look like much damage but of course it adds up to over $1500 and we have $1,000 deductible! Every time I think we're getting ahead, it seems that a setback looms.
Hugs.
Make sense what now a days makes sense??
Glad hubby is back to work.... everyone needs to rant and not make sense once in awhile. lol
Larry is still fighting Social Security on his disability its a bite. I hate there rules deny everyone.
Have a good day today! {HUGS}
I'm glad your husband is back to work!
I would call some of your bill companies & see if you can stretch the current bill out over the enxt few billing periods - a payment schedule.
Do you print internet coupons? They are a life saver for me on many food items I would ahve to pass on.
There are websites that just match the coupons up to the sales ads. Here is a great one in my area, but I'm sure there is one in yours.

You could use the match-ups for Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid & Target - many times I go to Target & Walgreens just to get the free/pennies each items.
We'd already gone through so many steps to be more frugal here, but, still, it seems there's always more that can be done. You've helped me see a lot of ways to do that. It does seem every time things are about to be okay, something else has to come up, and again we have to figure out how to make it all work. Somehow, it does, though times when my health is at its worst are definitely the hardest and have been our darkest.
Right now, my health problems are managed, but if past history is any indication, things are going to be pretty rough in a couple of months. I'm doing my best to get ready for a rough time while still trying to hope for the best.
We are just trying to be really frugal with food and utilities but if we have a hard winter I don't know what will happen.
again. Times are tough everywhere for many people. I share when I can
with my neighbors. It's hard to cook a meal for just one person, I always
have enough to feed those who can't cook. I don't buy much meat now
it's so expensive. Ground beef I can stretch making goulash, rice n beans
with gr. beef, mixture of kidney beans, corn, onion, gr. beef. I buy more
chicken cause I can stretch that for many meals. But I know that praying
to our Heavenly Father has helped me so much Connie.

So many people are having a hard time right now, and I think as long as we take the time to help each other, we'll be fine. We won't be getting our flood damage fixed anytime soon (no money), but we're surviving I guess. I know it could have been so much worse.
I sent you an email Connie....
we were trying to help all of our adult kids by having everyone over for dinner on sundays. that started straining our budget; so we stopped. we were picking up clothes here & there occassionaly for the grandkids to help out. we don't do that anymore. we were buying a couple of dvd's a week (many kid movies); we rent a movie every other week now. we set a limit of $20 per grandchild for christmas this year. (that's been hard for me....there's so many things i want to get them!!) getting gift cards from the reward sites is helping a great deal, as those will go to the adult kids for christmas.
you have helped me to become more frugal. your groups & your today on gather articles have helped me win prizes & points.
i hope now that your husband is back to work, you can get caught up & have less stress. hugs are cheap; so i'll send ya 2!! {hug} {hug} :)
you know me...I send for a LOT of freebies and do the best I can shopping with coupons
