READY TO REVOLT: Oath Keepers pledges to...

Depending on your perspective, the Oath Keepers are either strident defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia.

In the age of town halls, talk radio and tea parties, middle ground of opinion is hard to find.

Launched in March by Las Vegan Stewart Rhodes, Oath Keepers bills itself as a nonpartisan group of current and retired law enforcement and military personnel who vow to fulfill their oaths to the Constitution.

More specifically, the group's members, which number in the thousands, pledge to disobey orders they deem unlawful, including directives to disarm the American people and to blockade American cities. By refusing the latter order, the Oath Keepers hope to prevent cities from becoming "giant concentration camps," a scenario the 44-year-old Rhodes says he can envision happening in the coming years.

I willingly embraced the 'Oath of Office' I pledged to in the spring of 1969. I hold the Scout Motto, 'On my honor, I promise to do the best to do my duty to God and my country...', still as a GOOD way of life. But I want to take it just one step futher. My 'oath' is My Love-Promise to God. Any 'administration' what "thinks" I might forsake my love promise to God, is simply and sadly delusional. This Vow Will Stand Long After thus man; I swear to uphold and defend Americans, and American Freedom, Liberty, and Justice, against All enemies, Domestic And other. Amen

OK guys, calm down. Item one: We have been an oligarchy for many years. two: oligarchy and communism does not fully equate. three: I as veteran NCO do not remember ever having been released from my oath to the constitution of the United States and will defend such to the death but you folks are overreacting.

Jim, an Oligarchy is a lot worse than anything we have today. We are on the way toward it but it has not taken us over YET.

There are a lot of us vets that took that oath and our discharge did not have a word about releasing us from it. I think they will have a hard time when/if the government finally fails. We don't need a club to belong to to keep our oath at all.

This is why we need REFOUNDERS as Glenn Beck has asked in our congress men and women. I agree with it too. There is way too much corruption in both parties and we need to get our country back to the basics.
