I read a really great thriller that I would love to see turned into a movie....unfortunately, right now I can 't remember either the author or the title of the book!
I secretly would love to see a remake of The Grapes of Wrath
I would love to receive this set of books though. I love James Patterson and I heard The Lovely Bones is a really good book.
So would anything with Joe Pine as a detective.
Heironymous Bosch, too!
I'm a real fan of thrillers!
A modern woman takes a three week vacation in Jane Austen's world - the food, the clothing, the restricted activities, the romance!
Then she has to return to her own life.
I also think Still Life by Joy Fielding would make a great thriller movie.
1. Anything Jane Austen tends to do well with a certain demographic be it movies based on her original works or retellings of her novels in modern film form.
2. 'Persuassion' to the best of my knowledge has not been remade into a modern film story unlike several others.
3. The role of the main character would be perfect for several actresses. As I spy Nellie's comment above, Sandra Bullock would be great.
4. I thought the book was well written and offers a fairly good template to make into a film, particularly since some of the characters in the novel are associated with Hollywood (and Hollywood does love to portray itself in film).

Would be an easy, breezy 'trip' through the rock n' roll years ...

I say "Go Ask Alice".
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
I read this book in January of this year and I loved it.
I think it would make for an interesting suspense/drama film!
