The White House Attacks Fox News

The White House is certainly making a mistake here.

Very interesting.. lol... Any intelligent citizen would have to ask themselves why is the white house so fully engaged in being ignorantly defensive, name calling, and personal attacks on Fox, INSTEAD of simply stepping forward with some open and HONEST explainations and/or rebuttals of the allegations being brought out to the public, against them???

Why? Because they can't dispute away the information and that's also the very reason they AVOID Fox appearances at all cost! Fox is much too smart for them to handle, control and spin the facts as they have fairly well mananged to do with the fringe media....

Let then be dumb. It just helps us and Fox. :)

I think their ratings have gone up since the White House took this stance against them. lol

That's what I read. Nobody wants to silence anybody if they are intelligent. So what does that say about the White House?

When you look at Fox you have to split it into to parts: The News Side and the Commentary side. The news side has one of the best research departments in the industry. They don't filter it based on party. They were as critical of Sen. Ensign, as they were of Elliot Spitser. They criticize Republicans as equally as democrats. They ask exceptionally tough questions regardless of party. When issues are debated, they almost have an equal number of guests representing both sides, with the exception of when 1 side declines to appear.

The commentary side, does lean right. However, they will attack republicans for abandoning conservative ideals. They were very tough on McCain during the last election. Right now there is a big difference between republicans and conservatives. Many conservatives are frustrated as they see the Republican party moving left, and not fighting for the principles that Reagan and Gingrich promoted.

The commentary side, even though I agree with most of what they say, is ridiculous. I love the news.

There are more people going down the middle as they see no big difference in either side. We should all research our candidates and VOTE ALL THE CAREER POLITICIANS OUT OUT OUT, I say...

Even Chris Wallace has said; he has never seen such a group of crybabies in his 30 years in Washingtone.
It makes you wonder how much fact is being spoken by Fox, to get this type of attacks from the Whitehouse.

By treating Fox as the propaganda machine it is, rather than a real news station, Obama is merely recognizing the reality.

Will he alienate Fox news viewers? Really, how many Fox news viewers voted for Obama anyway?

Carol, I would hardly call CNN and MSNBC "hard left leaning". They are still part of the corporate agenda media, even though they don't express the extreme right wing slant that FOX does. I suppose if you have been conditioned to think that FOX is "fair and balanced" then the others would look like the "hard left" to you.

Rory, if you looked with your eyes, and not your a$$ you would see the Left supports big business more than the right does, it is just the Left tells you they don;t, and you blindly follow. They both support Big Corporations, they have to to get the money to operate, and steal from the throngs that blindly follow. The main difference between the left and Right, is a majority actually look, and are moving away from the Republicans, while a minority of the left is actually looking and moving away from the Democrats.
Majority of the Independents are ex-Republicans and ex-Democrats, who left because they already seen the writing on the walls. If you actually looked before you spoke, you would not sound like the many mindless Liberals that follow without pay attention to what is going on in the real world.
Yes Fox to some degree does listen to Corporate America, but they need money to run on too. Yet they are much more aggressive than any of the major outlets about all subjects and issues. Actually watch it for a while before you talk about what you do not know.

Obama is a crybaby and doesn't like it when Fox is not lock-step with his propaganda er ah I mean agenda.

Old fascist media give the major networks their daily talking points and then the anchors give their condescending version of same.

The whole thing is BS, anyway. Each of the cable news networks has it's "share" of opinionated commentary. Check out each one during the evenings. The only difference is that those on FOX aren't, except when comparing ratings, bad mouthing their counterparts. Nor are they kissing up to the Administration. But credit is given where credit is due.

As for the "propaganda machine"......THEY'RE ALL THE SAME.

Trying to "eliminate' the one(s) that disagree with the Administration proves it can not really stand up against criticism.

I think it makes a HUGE statement when the leader of the "free world" has taken a stand against "free speach"!
I really like the fact that FOX News keeps digging in and finding the stuff they do though.(because they are singled out) If it weren't for that, none of us would know anything at all because the other news reporters seemed to shut right up and not question anything. Honestly, even if you don't like the FOX news, they really are the only ones digging into anything.

I am an avid and proud watcher of Fox News. They are not a news station during prime time. Whoever does not recognize that is also an idiot. I think Sheppard Smith presents news. Hannity, O'Reilly and Beck do not and, if asked, will tell you so honestly. However, on their daily show, they pretend to be delivering unbiased facts. That's very far from the truth. Most of the news out there is not "so and so happened today." It's mostly "So and so happened, which means XYZ is next, and this will how it will affect you." The minute you leave the telling of the story, the interpretation and implications are all subject to bias whether we like it or not. Now that's a fact.

By the way, MSNBC is no different. Whoever thinks Olberman and Madow deliver news does not know what news is.

If they were smart in this administration, which they arent.. they would ignore Fox News.. by calling attention to them is spiking peoples curiosity....
