Awesome! My favorite Who song is "The Song Is Over" but they just don't play it enough. I remember when Daltrey was in that movie where he did "Free Me" but I can't remember the film. Was it "McVicar"? Those guys have sure made a lot of awesome music. I never quite understood the Quadrophenia film (but the music was great). 'Tommy' was way-cool too. Thanks for posting this!!

Yes, McVicar was the film. Quadrophenia, the album I was really involved in the recording of at RAmport was about the teen angst and the whole Mods and Rockers thing of the 60s. It ws way before its time and is enjoying a revival of sorts.

Yes, I think Quadrophenia was more relevant for the Brits, as far as the movie goes (although we did used to own a couple mopeds!!). I think we watched 'McVicar' at our friend Chris's house once, when he had a big satellite. I see what Dorian means about the Who -- I think our local radio station just played too many of certain songs and you'd get sick of them. Just like I enjoy the original Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett better than the latter-day group, when they just got too cynical. Shine on, you crazy diamonds!!

Hey Visionaerie, I just ordered and watched a 2007 documentary on P.F. and Syd. I got it from Netflix. It's amazing. Lots of footage, and if one has patience enough to wait and search, there are wondeful Sydprises.

By the way, Pete (Townhend) loved punk. Felt The Who started punk back in the early 60s. but you wouldn't know that.

OK, on second thought, Behind Blue Eyes is a classic.
For some reason, though, of all the '60s and '70s super groups The Who was my least favorite. Led Zep is hard enough to top but, in my blue eyes, The Who couldn't top Herman's Hermits. That's just my opinion. I sang with a band thoughout the '80s an our drummer (the best musician in our band) loved The Who. I also think their later hit, "Eminence Front" was top-notch.x

thanks. I alsways see anything Who related. Roger would come over and we'd go horsebackriding, back when I had horses. I introduced Simon (Townshend) to his wife of 31 years, Janey back when I worked at Ramport (Studio in London) It has been a long and joyous ride!

I saw Roger on some talk show the other day. He played a Who song. I love when he is with The Who but not alone. It would've been great to see the show though.

Even Led Zep are overrated but at least they have a common ear. Pete Townshend was a desparate little boy and Roger was a failed actor. Keith Moon put them on the map. Pete is still a creep and Roger is still an accidental whore.
