The Flu messes up EVERYTHING!

There is no school for my kids tomorrow, it's a cirriculum day.  We had plans for a super fun day!

Two weeks ago, Chandler and Stephy both got invited to a pumpkin carving party for tomorrow.  We were going to do crafts, make treats and carve pumpkins.

A week ago, Stephy was invited to a friend's 6th birthday party for tomorrow as well!  A princess dress up party.

Well, earlier today I got a phone call.  She had to cancel the pumpkin carving party because her daughter is sick and running a 100.5 temp.  About 5 minutes later I get another phone call.  This time from the birthday party mom.  Two of her three daughters are sick with the flu and she had to cancel the birthday party as well.

I hope they are feeling better soon, I feel awful when kids are sick... poor babies.

Last week there were 4 kids absent with the flu in Stephy's class, there are only 17 kids total.  I hate flu season, it's never any fun having sick kids or being sick yourself!  I just hope that I can keep my kids healthy. :)

That is too bad. If all the kids get sick now, maybe they will all stay healthy the rest of the winter.

That darn flu!
I hope the children who have been affected by the flu get well quickly. Too many children are having very bad effects from this flu. Not having a fun day is mild compared to the worry. I do hope you and your children don't catch it.

did you hear ? a school not far from me was closed for several days because so many had the flu.

At least the parents are being responsible and cancelling the activities and keeping their kids home from school. A girl in my niece's class was sent to school with a fever and cough on Friday. Last night my niece started getting sick. The girl should have stayed home.

Seems this year the flu is hitting really hard. My sister, my Mom and my two great nieces and my great nephew have all had the flu, all within a two week time period.

my youngest granddaughter is running a fever now
I know that here the schools are to report in if they have more than 10% absent any given day, no matter what the sickness

What a bummer. You guys will have to have a pumpkin carving party at home. We did that on Friday night.

Right now, there are 20 kids total that are sick today from my daughters school. I recieved an e-mail from the principal. None of them are sick from the kindergarten class...........Thank God. And keeping my fingers crossed.
