This is my cat Bella. I got her about a year ago from a shelter in the area.
I fell in love with her the second I met her. She was in a cage with 3 other kittens, and I was determined to bring one home. So I went to the cage, and started to talk to/play with all of the kittens. All of them were adorable, but there was one that really caught my eye.
It was a little orange and white kitten, stretched out on it's back, with it's front paws over it head, nearly falling off the edge of her little shelf. I moved my hand cautiously toward her, to make sure that I didn't scare her, and I pet her fluffly little stomach. And she loved it! She just laid there and let me pet her.
This made me a little bit nervous, and I wondered if maybe there was something wrong with her, and she didn't fee well. So I started asking the woman in charge, if there was anything wrong with the kitten, that she was aware of. She laughed and said "No. Oh no, of course not! Haha, that one there is just a rambunctious little one, and is exhausted from playing all day."
And sure enough! When I went back over to the cage, the kitten was hopping all over the others, trying to get them to play with her. I decided then that she was the one I would take home. She was adorable! And she was also hilarious and seemed incredibly fun-loving and good-natured.
So, I brought her home, where she has grown into a lovely little diva. And when I say diva, I mean DIVA! She always has to sleep with her mama, and if she sees that I have gotten into bed without calling her, she jumps up on my chest, and refuses to lay down until I apologize. She also refuses to drink water out of any sort of dish. She always has to drink from the sink! And if I even ATTEMPT to go to the bathroom or take a shower without letting her in, she will sit outside the door and cry until I let her in. The same thing happens if I go outside or try to leave without saying goodbye to her first. She will sit at the door and scream and cry until I either come home, or come back to tell her I love her, and I will be home soon. I went on a trip to Florida for a week and a half this spring, and when I came home, my boyfriend said that she didn't come out of my bedroom except to eat, drink, and sulk.
Her favorite toys are those little plastic things that you pull off the cap of a gallon of milk. (Her favorite ones are the blue ones, off the 2 percent milk we get...) She also likes my bracelets, and my hair ties.
Her favorite movie is The Adventures of Milo and Otis. She will sit on the end of my bed for hours, just watching the movie. (Her favorite character is Otis, the pug.)
And probably her favorite things in the world to do.... lick and chew on my: nose, toes, and eyebrows (yes, eyebrows...), while I am trying to sleep.
Oh. And sleeping. We can't forget about that. If there were such a thing as "Pro sleeping" she would excel greatly.
She is my little princess, and I love her dearly, no matter how many nights she keeps me awake.
She is...
Mi Bella.
