its the main festival day today. dint have a very good sleep yesterday because of incessant bursting of crackers:)lots of ads on tv n other media in the last 3days urging everybody to- turn down the volume-the noise pollution due to crackers but its like trying to spoil the festival spirit?:)

and goddess laxmi is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. in ancient india doors were kept open all the time on diwali day to ensure that the goddess does not meet a locked door when she tries to enter the house!!!!
