What size bike?

My boy's want a bike for christmas. One of the twins is the size of a 3 year old. the other is just a tad bit shorter than a average 4 year old. They will be 5 in January.

My question is... Should I get the bigger twin a 12 inch or 16inch?

To me until they can ride a two wheeler.. I think the 12 inch is easier to learn on. Right now the bigger twin can just fit on a 12 inch (he's been using a tricycle) but tried this 12 inch we have it fits.. with some room

I don't know what way to go. If you wanna see the bike.. I wanna get them the transformers bike .. its on walmart.com

let me know what would you do...

or if you have a child my boy's age..what size bike do you have...

I wish I could help but my son has always been taller than average so I am not really sure.

My son just turned 4 and we bought him a 16 inch bike for his birthday. It fits him nicely.

we bought my oldest a 16 inch. i think it was his 5th bday. but to me its too big. shouldnt they be able to touch the ground? or am I wrong?

They should be able to touch the ground, imo. My son can touch, but I think the seat is almost all the way down. It stinks to be right in the middle of 2 sizes, they grow so fast but you don't want it too big....

We got our four year old a 12 inch, but he does not have training wheels so we wanted to make suure he can touch. I would go with a 12 inch if he has a little growing room, I would want to make sure he can touch.

I'm pretty sure Elliott's bike is a 12 inch. He still has training wheels. He'll be 4 in February, but is really tall. He'll probably get a 16 inch next summer if we find one cheap.

I would just look around and check out the different ones...I'd probably go with the 16 inch though. A 12 inch will be out grown very quickly.

Whether or not you actually buy it there, I'd suggest going to a high-end bicycle store, where they'll help you figure out the perfect thing for each twin. Good luck ewith it!
