Starting an internet business is a pretty common goal for many of us.
The chance to be financially free, fire the boss you don't like , and work for yourself in a job that you love.
And get on the internet and do some bowsing and it even seems like it's childs play
That everyone and their granny is doing it.
It's a pretty safe assumption that you have had the make millions online ads shoved in your face promising you untold internet wealth, quick and easy.
And it's also a safe bet that these internet gurus trying to sell you there miracle online systems , are making some decent bucks from it.
Whether you will do the same is open to a bit more debate.
You might already know that ninety nine percent of all businesses on the web don't succeed.
Google it, starting an internet business gives you a 99% chance of failure.
That's not a very big success rate.
So why does it seem to be so hard ?
Why is the failure rate so high?
Well I would like to hazard a guess at why this, and think that it could help to get you in that top one percent,
And not go the way of the ninety nine percent that don't make it.
So how come most people don't have any success?
Well I think that if you look at the way that most people get involved in an online business, it's actually pretty easy to see why.
Firstly the kind of person that is attracted to starting an internet business, is not really your regular 9-5 type.
The kind of person that isn't satisfied with life by the numbers, with barely getting by, with being forced to conform to a job or career so that they can out food on the table.
Internet businesses appeal to the kind of character that wants more from life and actively goes out and seeks ways to make it happen.
These kind of people are action takers, they are seekers, they have big visions and dreams and are prepared to go after them.Starting an internet business is a natural fit.
and the big internet "gurus" are well aware of this fact.
They know the dreams that you have, because they too had , and still do have the same dream.
They know how to get through to you and what to say.
They have been there and felt it, and still do.
The desire for joy, freedom, independence, success.
These are our emotional buttons, we have knee jerk reactions to them, almost like we can't help it.
And we also know that a successful business on the web can bring us the things that will satisfy these needs.
That is why all of the ads you come across online will essentially be saying the same thing.
And because we are the kind of people that want to make things better for ourselves, we can be more easily seduced.
We are give these gurus our trust and often get let down.
Because what they are selling us isn't reality.
It is a marketing plan they follow to push our buttons and get us to open our wallets.
We want to believe that we can have a hands-free , automated business that makes us six figures a month.
And we all want it right now, the quick fix.
Because that means that we can leave that job that doesn't fulfill us.
That means we can provide for our family, and not have to worry about it ever again.
They know that what we really want is the end result.
And the quicker and easier it is, the better we like it.
How many of us honestly don't want to be wealthy and free ?
Which of us doesn't want that.
For most of us, it's the dream.
Money and freedom.
And we are the type of people that will take action to move towards their dreams, which sometimes leads us to put our faith in people that don't really care if we have any success at all.
And then 99 of us out of 100 don't have any success.
Why ??
Because the internet gurus don't want us to know the real secret of a successful online business.
And that is to place yourself right at the centre of your own business by basing it around your own unique areas of passion and experience.
They want you to believe that your own ideas and experience id worth nothing and that your only hope of success is to follow exactly what they say to you.
Because then you are the ideal customer who will do what they say and buy whatever they recommend.
And with every new product they release they know that you will be at the front of the line , again and again.
Because chances are that you won't be making any money.
And even if you are successful at starting an internet business , there will be 99 just like you that aren't.
But they won't be able to get their claws into you , if you put yourself and your own areas of interest at the centre of your business.
If you decide that starting an internet business around an area that you already know,
Because you already have areas of passion and interest.
Then you are taking charge and don't need to go running to them every 5 minutes.
No matter what your unique areas of passion and expertise are, you can use them to build a successful online business.
All you need to do to begin is brainstorm the things you know and have knowledge of.
Then there are lots of ways for you to make some money from these things.
