INTEGRITY is REFRESHING
Please imagine the following scenario. You are the President of the United States. You are visiting New Orleans for one day. You wade into the crowd holding a mike to be offered to people you choose to answer their questions. You reach over and down and give the mike to nine year old boy in the fourth grade (who happens to be black). The boy asks why do people hate you adding they are supposed to love you.
My question to you is how would you feel and what would you answer?
If you are interested in seeing how President Obama faired I strongly suggest you hear for yourself. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/15/obama-asked-why-do-people_n_323251.html-
Imagine any of the pompous Republican 'leaders' even daring to ask a fourth grader to ask a question let alone answer it directly and candidly.
Indeed integrity is refreshing.

Let's wait to see if any information comes to light about the boy or the question being a plant,(questions being known ahead of time and selected by Obama's handlers).
Would not be the first time for this President.
Or saying the campaign in Afghanistan is essential but not being able to come up with a plan he can stay with? That took a couple of months to break.
Or being afraid of a component of the media (Fox) because he doesn't like how they criticize him? Even Bush didn't pull that.
Far from being a beacon of integrity, I see at least the same BS the ones before him have done and in other ways even more.
Our stance on Honduras is completely wrong. Former President Zelaya tried to circumvent and undermine that country's constitution while ignoring the wishes and orders of its Congress and Supreme Court. The Hondurans executed an arrest warrant for Zelaya and instructed the military, always under civilian control, to oust the perpetrator.
Gibbs, please refute if you will my comment. You made a rather large claim and instead of writing another article acting stunned that people disagree with you, stay here and defend your thought.
People distrust him, and hate his actions and politics.
But a majority of us are smarter than that.
So how's the koolaid bath today, Chucky? Many are waking up to the fact he is a fraud, but some like seeing with their "Eyes Wide Closed".
"Hillary would have handled (this or that) better."
"Hillary would be knocking heads."
"Hillary wouldn't have let us down."
The Dems here honestly feel their party put the wrong person in the White House.
Should I tell them that the majority is smarter than they are? They have just as much right to their opinion as you and I do.
Why can't our taxes go to redevelop New Orleans, rebuild better storm protections, and give these people back their lives??? If he said he wanted $700B for New Orleans and the surrounding areas I would be backing him 200%.
Obama has touched the imagination of the world, particularly the youth. Jackasses may hate him and wish his influence were not so, but they can just easily wish the sun not rise or they develop sentient reasoning power; either event is beyond their ability to achieve. He has, despite the best efforts of the RW, given hope to many. The young seem to understand this viserally and children like this boy all across the world marvel and wonder at the insane hate and endless lies of his detractors. The boys comment was both a statement and judgement: These people hate when God said to love, because God is love. So, from the eleoquent mouth of a babe, the "Christian" conservative is hung on his own pitard.
The old saying "you reap what you sow" is decending like a choking fog on the RW extremist and it is taking the mainstream GOP establishment with it. Lindsey Graham shouted down?? Bill Frist, Bush 1, all schooling the lunatics, hopefully unsuccessfully, because in the end, all the morons of the RW will achieve is scaring and disappointing children, nothing more.
I think Americans in general don't know how to make things happen any more. They resort to yelling, screaming, defamation of character, protests in the street, violence and mockery. We can't even be diplomatic, honest, or charitable with one another, and yet we expect a government to produce a miracle out of chaos.
I don't understand Dan R's "Huffingtont got it wrong" remark, Huffington said New Orleans.
A boy asked a question, our President answered it very gracefully, no blaming, no fingerpointing. Yes Integrity. I have read a transcript of the incident.
A plant? - like the president of the US and a father of young kids is going to do that. Who ever believes that must be a Republican.
That comment disturbs me. Why must people always point out the color of another person's skin? Would the parentheses have been around a nine year old white boy? How 'bout hispanic, or cherokee? Let's point out the black crayon in the box every time we want to use it. Put it on display for all to see just in case no one noticed... heaven forbid. I'll bet ten to one that when we check again tomorrow it will still be a black crayon! No more or less important than the pink crayon, or the yellow crayon, the brown one or the red one.
Charles - Unless I am mistaken Obama's remarks concerning Israel and Paestine have- in his usual fashion - remarkably even handed. You well know no side is all right or all wrong in such messy matters. I also appreciate his flexability when it appears that important new imformation makes it appropriate to change his positions... This is in distinct contrast from our last so called enlightend leader who had - by his own evaluation - a direct pipe line to the Allmighty.
P.S. With all of these so called leaders who supposedly have a pipe line to God don't you think there is a bit of over the top political / spirtitual confusion amongst them?
