'Rock n' Wrestling' Icon Captain Lou Albano Dies

You don't have to be a wrestling fan to have at least heard of "Captain" Albano.  He was that "not so lovable" lovable wrestler with the big mouth who was also in some of Cindi Laupers videos.  I haven't heard anything about him in years.  So long Captain, may there be plenty of rubber bands where you are going!

For a long time, I thought he was dead. Until my hubby pointed out to me about six months ago that he was still alive.
(Rumors had been going around of his death)
Now, I have to tell hubby that he died for real this time.

I love wrestling, I used to watch it for years.
And, I've seen every Cindi Lauper video she ever made.

the guy over here just blurted out a little while ago..."oh how sad, capt albano died." my comment back was, "who?". i had never heard of him before. sorry he passed.

go look at his pic, if you watched wrestling in the 80's you will know him, lol. He was an ugly one, lol.

Wow, I haven't seen him in years! I remember him well, we used to watch wrestling a lot, but it has changed so we don't watch much anymore....I come from and era of Jake the snake Roberts, Junk Yard Dog, Macho Man, Ric Flair,Hacksaw Jim Duggan,The Undertaker,Ultimate Warrior,I guess you can tell I was a fan!!! LOL

I heard about this on the day he died. He was also the manager for Cyndi Lauper and that is why he was in the video. He was also the manager for Al Martinez, the singer. He was quite a good wrestler. I was into wresting when I was in H.S. and he was a big time wrestler. An enjoyable guy to watch.
