Dragonfly Dreams

Something compelled me
to walk into the mist this morning
I felt the air tingling
on the back of my neck
pulsating in my ears
I neared the edge of grass
the mist enveloped me
tiny lavender dragonflies
lighting on my arms
the tips of my fingers
I watch them in their ballet
of silent movement
they encompass me from head to toe
swirling
an opalescent trail around
tornado style
sound does not exist in this slice of time
I feel their message clearly
they are a symbol of things
to come
dragonflies here
are not this size or color
I nod my head
as they evaporate into the air
leaving me
in the morning sun
to wait

I had this dream in the early morning and it made me write it before starting my day. You know how that goes, when the words demand to be written and heard. I am starting to listen.

You just took a recurring nightmare about tornadoes that I've had for years, and turned it into pixie dust that soothes my mind..... thank you for this transformation in my head.... next time I start to have my dream, I'll envision this lovely exchange you've painted, instead of the dark shredding one that's haunted my sleep for years. This is just a beautiful, light, and soft creation, Kelly.:)

I love dragonflies...this is beautiful....wishing is what it's all about ~ sadly, they don't come true, but if they did..........life would be just phenomenal.

At this point in my life, I have come to the conclusion that even if wishes came true, I would not have a clue what to wish for. They say in order to appreciate the mountains, we must travel through the valleys, or something like that. I am ready for the mountains!!

I know what I wish for, something that's eluded me my whole life, but I'm sure if I got it, I'd probably screw it up. Let's head for the mountains, I grew up in them, they are beautiful.

This awakened the dragonfly memories that dwell in the dusty corners of my mind. Lovely.

Kelly, for some reason I do not understand, I do not receive your posts. When I stopped by to wish you a hppy birthday I noticed this and others. I checked my Friends settings, they are suthorized and I should begetting them. Is there anything on your end blocking me?
