When God created Adam and Eve, He told them to go forth and multiply and replenish the earth and conquer it.
| Gen1:28 | And God blessed them, Gen. 5.1, 2 and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: |
He also mentioned the same thing to Noah and his family, in Gensis 9.
So from this we can understand that He meant for us to have babies, lots of them...and that we should not be celebate or homosexual (which would impede that goal), but be FRUITFUL (producing offspring)...
He also said "Woman was made from Man so for this reason, He would leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife (not his husband)...and He commanded us not to commit adultery...so we KNOW we should marry to have sex, and not be promiscuous.
So then we can also conclude that, since one of God's great purposes for us is to replenish the earth, anything that prohibits having babies BY CHOICE and in the name of convenience, such as birth control, is not God's will for us...
He also commanded us NOT to murder (NOT to take an innocent life)...so then that means abortion is wrong in His eyes also...
The far-reaching effects of the sins of NOT doing what God wants us to do, is something we may not even fully realize until we meet Him and are judged.
But, it seems to me that satan, who in his efforts to destroy man and end man's happiness on earth, and take as many of us down as possible with him in the end, would seek to make us think that all these things against God is ok, because it serves some selfish purpose, for our convenience...
Man's reasoning (as in the garden) with the help of satan, is thus: he convinces us to make decisions that affect our posterity and generations to come, based on the selfishness of the moment...to determine our purpose ourselves from our perspective, instead of relying on God's knowledge and understadning of His own creation, and fulfilling His eternal purpose for all of mankind.
Why have we forsaken Him?

Mike jumped in somewhat defensively, "You told my ancestors to 'be fruitful and multiply'. They took that seriously and many still do. We are currently breeding ourselves into extinction. We have managed to foul our planet to the point that many of the other species have disappeared and we are in danger of dying off ourselves. A great many of our people live now in areas which cannot support them because that is the only space left, but they still breed which makes matters worse."
D'am looked saddened and sat back, "It was good advice at the time when there were so very few of you. I had assumed that as your numbers grew you would understand that this was necessary for only a short time and you would slow down. You still produce many offspring?"
Besides, scientists are now finding new evidence that what the EPA wants to be able to cash in on, is not really a problem after all...

In order for your article here, for example, to be relevant, one must believe in the concept of "sin"....
But, in order to believe in the concept of sin, one must believe in the Bible, which proclaims and defines the concept of sin.......
Yet, in order to believe in the Bible, one must believe (to some extent) in the existence and reality of God.........
Because, unless one believes in God, how can one believe that the Bible is the Word Of God and, therefore, believe that its proclamations and definitions of sin are accurate and truthful??
God's "existence" and His concept of "sin" is not contingent upon whether we perceive it as truth or not...so if someone does not believe they are sinning, or does not believe in God at all, it does not mean that they are not actually participating in a "sin"...it simply means that at some point, God will determine WHY they sinned...they will be judged according to their intent...
If your young brat stomps his foot and says hateful things to you as a parent, you still love him right? And just because he refuses to obey your rules or to accept that you are his dad and can make rules for him to follow, does not make his philosophy correct...he can deny you all day, but in the end, you will have the last say.
That's exactly correct...those who do not seek Him and do not exercise faith in Him, will NOT please Him...nevertheless, He WILL come, and when He does, He will not be pleased and they will get NO reward at that point.
Would you want to be here when Jesus steps on the Mount of Olives?
