I know the feeling, but I never cared for the school pics anyway and so expensive. If you got a digital camera, take your own,"class" pic of her and then when you got money you can take to walmart and have them made in any size you want and at a far cheaper cost.

I agree with Sheryl. Just take a picture of her yourself. I haven't bought my kids school pictures in a few years. They never turn out very well. I swear the photographers that do kids' school pics just must not care anymore.

we haven't bought our daughter's school pictures in awhile due to poor quality. they just rush through them and aren't any good

My walls are plastered with photographs that I've taken of my family. If you don't have a camera, see if you can find someone who does and wouldn't mind snapping a few shots ~ Sheryl's right ~ you can do them yourself and for a much better price! =)

With our daughters school pictures we could just buy 1 if we wanted too. It was still over priced but I did it.

Rant away :0) Sometimes it feel good to get it out!!

His hand, just because his work will not let him work there at his job, does not mean he can not pick up a side job, off the books if you get my drift!
After my hand surgery I was in the same boat, bills still needing paid (I had a baby!) I went to the nearest horse show and picked up work. Mind you it was not the cleanest or prettiest job. But it paid cash money. I just made sure my hand was wrapped well and pain meds were not to the point I could not function. I also did not bring attention to my hand.
Just a idea k :0) Economy sucks right now !

Well problem is he only has one hand. So he isn't very able to use it right now

Disability has been sought or looked into? One armed people, there must be something they can do??
Ever hear of "The One Armed Bandit"? I ran into John Payne at a rodeo here in Oregon. He lost his arm in a electrical accident. He went on to train the critters and put on shows. A inspiration to us with hand and arm issues then he was so nice of a person.....
I look for such people since I too have hand and arm issues.

Yea. He does so much with his one hand and he has been called lefty for so long lol. Only has his right hand. But yes he has tried for diability many times and they tell him no because he can work. It is BS. He is going nuts not ableto do anything.
Yea If only this wasn't her first ever school pics taking my own pics would be great. She is just too excited to get them done.

Could you maybe get a smaller package? Most photographers will let you come back & order more at another time as well.

They only have were you can only pick what you want and can't get any at a different time and they are not even doing retakes. They went with a new place this year and it is a bunch of pucky!

our school went with a new place..and i was able to just purchase a 5x7 with some mini pics..for 5.00.. so i did that..since i had to buy for four kids

I think you should just take the photo yourself. Have her in a school outfit, and stand in front of her classroom or school building, and all done. It will probably look better anyway.

I think the class photos are never as good as the ones you can take yourself. You can take her to the park, or outside and get some nice pictures of her and put them in the scrapbook for kindergarten photos. The ones Mom takes are always better anyway.
