Genre Shorties Week #10

It rained today, but it wasn't raining drops of water ... it was glorious leaves instead!

Red,

yellow,

orange,

and green,

The loveliest leaves I've ever seen!

Falling ... wafting ... from the sky,

Bursts of color on the ground doth lie.

Drifting slowly to the ground,

Without making nary a sound.

Falling ... wafting ... from the sky,

As if waving their own good-bye.

The leaves pile up and when they do,

Little children will jump on you!

Falling … wafting … from the sky,

These beautiful leaves very soon will die.

A little wiff of melancholy...in the poem to find that these beautiful leaves....pile up and DIE...But how beautiful that the same dying leaves become mulch / manure and help the same trees that made them so beautiful....to LIVE and grow healthier. and stronger.
