My Husband & I went to the movies over the weekend, we saw, Capitalism: A Love Story; the latest Michael Moore movie. I thought it was a good movie, but not a great movie. The theatre audience must have enjoyed it, because when the movie ended they all stood and applauded.
I think Michael Moore is good at pointing out problems in his movies, but I think I would like it better if he offered some solutions to the problems. Have you seen the movie, and if so, what did you think? Don't get me wrong, I still think Michael Moore is a brilliant film maker.

Oh and btw Pam I'll be viewing some of your posts asap..but it might be a day or so. I have a sick daughter at home today..she's even running a fever.
BTW................When this does come out on DVD...share it with people. Even at my own insistance of attending an Early Bird showing ...the tickets were 6.75 and 6.50 for my Sr 'discount'! Pretty much tells you that lots of people that 'want' to see it , can't afford to and the one's that 'need' to see it ......won't bother!
They are told to boycot all news except Faux News, All books not written by an approved conservative, etx.
--wink--
I wanted more about the movie. even what you liked or thought was best. . .
I have heard it covers capitalism with a broader pallete than Sicko covered health care, but that there not many details.
One reviewer referred to this movie as Michael Moore's Epic.
I will see after it is on DVD.
I did see his one about 9/11 though
I look forward to seeing it. I have been looking at anything else I can regarding the subject.
It is sad that our world is being taken over by corporations.
What happened to the american dream?
What happened to being able to succeed by doing hard work?
I look around me and see many of my peers who are sociopaths winning in business.
I'd love to see more people with good morals win at business and be prosperous.
I have always liked his movies...
I do agree that, in general, his movies are really good at pointing out the problems but don't reallly offer any solutions.
I did see him interviewed on Larry King a few weeks ago and he offered a couple pieces of specific advice in that interview. The one that struck me the most was when he said that we should not be electing officials into office unless they publicly vow to NOT take any money from lobbyists. I wholeheartedly agree with this.
For example, he said that over 75% of this country wants healthcare reform, yet the insurance company lobbyists, who are against it, are spending $104 million a day in advertising to fight it.
I will post it within the next few days. thanks again!
GREAT POST!!!! nope i haven't seen it.
