Today, my sister and I took a leisurely road trip to visit my daughter. We saw some beautiful autumn colored trees, cornstalks, pumpkins for sale and other fall and Halloween sights. Come along on the trip!
Today was so beautiful, it was hard to leave the lake. It was a perfect day for a road trip, however, and we wanted to visit Sarah.

Driving south on M-30, we saw lots of autumn colors!

Heading south along M-61, we saw more autumn colors. It was a perfect day!

Just east of Gladwin, Michigan, we saw this whimsical Halloween display.

The spider was made from a propane tank and some metal rods. Very clever! The skeleton was made of chains, wire and metal odds and ends. Possibly the head is a welding mask.

This display was huge, hanging from a crane.

In downtown Gladwin, we found this display of the Wizard of Oz:

The scarecrow was happy to see us. The tin man is smiling, but he'd better watch out for that witch!

When we got home, Gracie was waiting for us. We had a great time talking, laughing and enjoying a beautiful autumn day!

I hope you've enjoyed this little trip! Join me soon for another look at the changing colors of the trees at Skidway Lake.
