Isn't it too early for this?

OK, I know I live in Minnesota. But still, isn't it too early for a winter storm watch? Really?? 3-5 inches of snow predicted for parts of southern Minnesota tonight into tomorrow. Yuck yuck yuck. I hope we get a week or two of warm weather sometime yet this fall. I'm not ready to truly start winter yet!

I am hoping for Indian Summer to get here. Hopefully we will have a mild winter, but with the way the weather was this summer it will most likely be wild instead of mild. Yuck.

It's snowing here right now, but we aren't expecting any accumulation.

We almost always get a pretty big snow storm by the end of October, though. The first year I was here, we got 13 inches of snow the second week of October, and it knocked out power for most of the day and everything was closed. I was ready to pack up and head home. ;)

I am so not ready for snow! Its been pretty nippy here the last few days. Not to mention all the rain. Today the sun is finally out, but theres still a chill in the air.

I am from MN (though I don't live there anymore -- CO now). We got snow on parts of the Front Range (line from the WY border south, through Denver to Colorado Springs) yesterday (after 80 last week). Go figure.

We already got ours yesterday. Maybe it's the same storm heading your way. There was less than an inch of measurable snow, but it rained before it snowed. Our low temperatures broke records, though, so watch out.
