It was one of those games that had me on the edge of my seat.... It wasn't on TV, couldn't find it anywhere except for watching NFL play by play online, so there I sat, supposed to be doing my homework, but it was too close to even THINK about homework...... waiting for play by play update... not how I would chose to see my football, but when you are a diehard fan like me ANYTHING is better than nothing.
So we are down 10 to 14 and the two minute warning passes (something which Carson Palmer DIDN'T seem to be doing all that much of today sheesh what's wrong with him today?) and I am thinkin' to myself "are we really gonna lose this? ARE WE? THAT would SUCK."
Okay, it's not a lonely thought.... I have thought that in every game this year....
every game has come DOWN TO THE WIRE! Thankfully, my last minute nail biters didn't disappoint me this time either.... 22 seconds left in the game, and Carson finds Caldwell who runs 20 yards....
TOUCHDOWN
So then, I am nervous, of course.... there is 16 seconds left. Yeah, the other team CAN make a touchdown in 16 seconds, I've seen it happen. I've seen US do it.
So they punt, and Baltimore gets the ball, and their dude throws it....
and then my beloved Bengals did something I LOVE....
something they have done before that makes me smile...
they INTERCEPT!
There is 4 seconds left in the game, and although I can't see the game, I know what happens.... they kneel down and smile.
My Bengals are #1 in the AFC North.
VICTORY is beautiful!!!
