Do you leave the toilet seat Up or Down after using the toilet?
I have observed that there are some people who just leave the toilet seat down after they use the toilet and there are also some who always puts it back up after using it.
Whenever i use the toilet i always see to it that i put it back up after using it because i think it is the proper way that it should be. I think there are some people who feel lazy to put the toilet seat back up and just leave it down after using it.
I think people should put the toilet seat back up after using the toilet just to be more considerate of the next person who would be using the toilet. I think there are also some guys who pee on the toilet even if the toilet seat is still down maybe because they just feel lazy to put it back up. If the toilet seat is down and a guy urinates in the toilet without putting it back up there would be a possibility that the seat might get wet including the next person who would be sitting in the toilet.
Well, i think putting it up would favor more to guys because they wont have to put it back up if people who use it before them would already put it up. But it could also be a favor to girls because they could assure that the toilet seat is not wet when they put it down to use it.

I leave mine down since it is in my bedroom. I wouldn't touch a toilet seat in a public place so whatever way it was that is the way it stays. LOL

I always though it should be seat down for the ladies so in an emergency they don't try to sit on the toilet with the seat up. I take it the next step; seat and lid down! Everyone has to lift something.

I don't really care what other people do with their toilet seat but I always leave the toilet seats in my house down so the toilet is closed and nothing can fall into it by accident.

This came up not long ago here on gather some where.....
It goes down here out of respect for the women in the house, me!

I talked with my man about this and his take, it is dirty for a male to be standing up to do his thing in his own house. Then again he is the one who cleans that area of the bathroom. The boys have to if it is to gross.

Down ~ I wish my hubby and son could learn that. The cats try and drink for the toilet if they leave it up. We have compermised my hubby can leave it up on the far side of the house (his bathroom) as long as the main bathroom the seat stays down. ;)

The seat is always down in our house unless I'm cleaning it. When I use a cleaner in the toilet, I always let it set for a while, so I leave the seat UP so if someone has to use it, they have to look first and can flush it first. Not sure when I started that years ago, or why, but it's a habit now.

Lid down, there are germs and evil bacteria lurking in that pool of stagnent water. Of course, this become a problem for those of us who feel the urge in the dark of the night.

My mother always made us leave the lid up, seat down even though she was the only female in a house full of guys. I disagreed and felt it was more fair for everyone that both seat and lid should be down. That way everyone is inconvenienced. Then, if someone DOES make a mess, it's their job to clean up after themselves.

Now, public toilets are another matter. I usually leave the seat down there simply because in a guy's restroom, you've got the urinals for standing at and the stools for sitting on. Of course, I also wipe them down before I use them just in case.....

Down. Always down. I've got my son and hubby trained too. My husband was brought up in a house filled with men and his mom got used to keeping the toilet seat up. When she came to visit us at our house, she would leave the seat up. So aggravating. I finally trained my hubby to keep it down so that I don't fall into the toilet late at night. My son always keeps it down. I've got him trained well.
