Just Imagine~John Lennon performs one more concert, and you are there!

Last night I attended the premiere of a fantastic show starring my friend Tim Piper. Tim is a dead-ringer for John Lennon, vocally and visually, and this is such a well-put-together selection of memories and songs of the late great John Lennon. Fitting that yesterday would have been John's 69th birthday. Just Imagine!

 

There were no camera's allowed into the performance, but here are some pics of the cast (Tim's band; Working Class Hero) The members are Tim Piper as John Lennon, Greg piper (his brother) on bass guitar, Don Butler on lead guitar,Morely Bartnoff on keyboards, and Don Poncher, Drums. It is directed by Steve Altman (Robert's son).

That is so cool! I was writing an article here tonight which mentioned Lennon, but unfortunately the Gather gremlins actually ate it! I'll try to post it again tomorrow. This sounds extraordinary. We saw a group called Rain play at our local Riverboat Days once -- fine Beatles imitation. Thanks so much for sharing this and I hope it is a great success!

This is great. I am not fortunate to see Lennon alive. Of course I was 3 years old when he died.

One of the greatest. Too bad he had such an untimely death. My local station devotes Sunday mornings to the Beatles and gives lots of old history.

He sounds like him as well. He has a Beatles tribute band called Revolution and also John tribute as Working Class Hero. You can probably find him on YouTube somewhere!
