Week Five NFL Picks by Mike Firesmith

Ah, week five of the NFL! Here it goes!

The Ravens and Bengals are both 3-1. The Ravens are a much better team, even though this is going to be close.

Ravens win.

The Bills and the Browns. Meh.

Bills win.

Redskins and the Panthers. Meh

Panthers win

Steelers vs a team that just lost a 40 million dollar gamble, early.

Steelers win.

The Cowboys either win this game or they lose their coach. There will be blood if the Cheifs upset the boys.

Cowboys win.

Giants play Al Davis. Giants win.

Eagles win.

Vikings win.

Cardinals win.

Jaguars win

Colts win

Jets win

Okay, there are two game that really matter. Are the Broncos for real? Clearly they are a better team than we suspected early, but they are not going to beat Patriots.

Patriots win.

Are the Falcons for real? Clearly, they are not the team they were last year, and if the Niners want to make a statement against a good team, this is a good time to do so. The Falcons cannot afford to fall behind the Saints in the division and they have got to prove they can win on the road. This game is the most crucial test for a young Falcons team than most realize.

Falcons better win.

The line on the Lions game is what 28, 35, 40 points? There's just about no line I wouldn't find high enough. If I still played fantasy football I'd really wish I had Roethlisberger.

Getting ready to do mine. I like most of yours. How'd you do last week? I got 10 out of 14. I agree, if the Boys lose to KC, they'll be some movement in Big D. I also think the Boys will win BUT sure would like to see the Dallas faithful take another hit.

And, picking is about EXPECTATIONS not wants; with that said, I just think my Patriots are going to stumble in Denver this week. I sure hope not, but I got this feeling...

And never, never, never, should a Superbowl Champion be playing a team who went winless in the same year. Ge,, let me think, who is going to win this game......
