If they knew exactly what would happen they would not need to perform the test.
Aren't they concerned about the outcome, what if it causes issues? What if it causes a problem with the moon?
The moon has been hit millions of times by larger objects going far faster than anything we can provide. It seems to have survived all right.
Is it absoutely neccessary to shot a rocket, or whatever at the moon, to see if there is water?
Oh yeah, let's just waste millions more on stupid crap like this
is it a real smart thing to do though.....
blow up something as vitally important to earth ? ? ?
I know they are rationalizing on how important it is for further moon cities and further space exploration.....
but what if stuff happened that they didn't expect or even think about???
