Why are we bombing the moon?

We are going to bomb the moon early tomorrow morning.  One may ask why? 

I'll tell you why.  We can that's why!

The boys at NASA have been given the assignment to look for water on the moon or something of that sort, so what do the boys do? They bomb the moon.  Now, even I couldn't make this one up.

The satellite that hits the moon will send up a 6 mile high eruption of debris. Another satellite will fly through it and analyze the contents, hoping to find water.

I read all kinds of newspapers every day and never heard anything about this in any of them!!!! I never heard anything until I saw your post!!!
This is crazy.
Why do we spend money on things like this when we are so deep in debt it's up to our eyeballs?
I don't like it.
What if there's something WORSE than water and it comes down to earth?

Ok, I know ya'll will think I'm crazy for saying this, but if God put the moon so darn far away from us, do you really think he wants us messing around with it?

I heard that too to see how much water is there. Because it's cheaper than going out there and looking for themselves and not harming the moon.

Sounds like a great disaster movie in the making. "Moon wobbles off of it's axis after being bombed, scientist expect it's new course will bring it crashing to the earth in 2012."
Isn't that the year when the world will be destroyed, at least according to the Mayan calender, or lack of calender after 2012.
