The ideas are ingrained
The wrongness is apparent
Confusion it does reign
No sense to most it warrants
The persistence of a thought
Once was taken by the board
Has now a certain cultish turn, frought
With musings of a Lord
Who says to them to be this way
I think not, no end reward
Will be the results of this day
And still they pray that they are right
A never-ending search for truth
Has skipped a genome of the fright
Imbedded in their tangled roots
For if we all were meant to know
How to react to lifes slings and arrows
It would be chisled on our brow
The path does not become so narrow
To exclude all but their kin
Their margins need some blurring
The choice of faith, the colour skin
Should not define who has the learning
Evolution has come to this?
The detractors of the faith
They all so feverishly defend their bias
Against those who would rather wait
And see the way the world will turn
Who will wallow, who will learn
Natural selection takes an upper hand
To clear the dogma from the land.
To many who once had belief
Of things the bible told them so
Are now on a journey for relief
From the twisted words they know
These words, not meant to exclude and chafe
Have become anathma to all
Who see the facts, and are safe
From mis-interpreted quotes and gall.
The dis-service of these little minds
Who live in fear of life and death
Their lives are meaningless, not kind
So why do I even waste my breath?
The shift will come
Chaos will reign
To put us all
Together again.

I have no family of any sort anywhere, finally free!
I've been a family free electron for a long time. There's such a thing as being "free at last" too early in life, but . . . yeah.
I don't force my belief in God on anyone . And I am less and less prone to need any particular religion to enforce my belief in God.
God proves Himself to me in His concern for and input into my lifeBut some folks haven't reached beyond their ' my religion alone' limitations. And some folks aren't so tolerant. And I fear it is their slings and arrows that have pierced you the most.
