Silly Lily Puppy.....(with photos)

We've had Lily puppy for almost 2 months now. She is starting to fit in with our family pretty well, but she is a puppy.....and she is a little hyper at times. Maggie tolerates her, and now that Lily is bigger than Maggie, Maggie tends to hide upstairs to get away from her.

 

We've taken to calling Lily a couple of nicknames, including Silly Lily....

Angela is already trying to dress Lily up in clothes.....and Angela is planning out Lily's Halloween costume.

Lily likes to get in to things, especially if they involve food. I think she just lives to eat... Last night, Lily tried to grab my mini-bag of pretzels off the couch, but ended up with the bag stuck on her nose. It was so funny, because she kept trying to get that last pretzel, but also wanted the bag off her face. I just had to get the camera out and I was laughing so hard that I only got 2 shots.

And here's the "Help me, I'm stuck" face......

Another nickname we have for Lily is Lily-put (from Gulliver's Travels)....as in Lily put that down.

Lily has a fascination with blankets and pillows, and she believes every one of them is hers. I bought a few yards of Hunter Orange fleece for my my mother to help me make a blanket and jacket out of it for Pher. Well, Lily saw the material sitting on the chair the other day and decided it was for her. She not only pulled it off the chair, but she wrapped herself in it. By the time I got back in the living room, the doggy was fast asleep.

 

Then, a few minutes later.....she must have gotten too hot.....

It's definately interesting having Lily around....and I'm seriously hoping she won't get too much bigger.....

the chip bag shot is priceless, eve steals fabric too. and rugs and then spends 20 minutes moving it around until its just right to lay on. seams girl dogs do it a lot more than males.

big feet=big dog she sure looks like she has some huge feet to grow into

When we got her, we were told she'd be around 30 lbs or so. NOT...she's probably going to be around 45-50.

I had a dog like her.
SHe seems to have some "springer spaniel in her.
She should grow to about 70% of the size of a german shepard. And she will continue raiding your bags of snack foods.

Mostly...she hasn't had an accident in about a week or so. Of coarse, I usually end up having to clean up any accidents. Oh well.

Lily is a cutie! She reminds me of Bailey regarding the blankets and pillows, no fabric is safe in my home, lol. Hopefully as she gets a bit older and calms down Maggie will not feel that she has to hide upstairs.

That is awesome. Puppies can be so great and so entertaining.
She is just so adorable!
She looks a bit like the blue heeler we used to have when we were in Texas - does she have any heeler in her?
My dachshund Josie loves to be wrapped in blankets/fabric. We made her a blanket so she has it in her doggie bed to cover up with all the time.

Those pictures with the pretzel bag...those are priceless! Could win a contest!

Oh and I doesn't care too much about blankets but I sure do likes mine pillows. I puts mine head on the pillows just like He and She do.

Maggie dog likes to have her head on pillows too. It makes mom so mad when she gets upstairs to go to bed and Maggie is not only sleeping on mom's side of the bed, but using her pillow too.

I think Lily is bringing a lot of joy into the house, with the exception of Maggie. But Lily won't stay a puppy forever. She's about as cute as any dog I've ever seen. My dogs love blankets too. We have discarded blankets in a pile here in the office that they can roll up in. It keeps them out of my lap part of the time. Lily's adorable, and she is well worth that trip you took to get her.

Oh, she isn't cute....oh my...she's a real handful most of the time. I think the neighbors believe we never feed Lily, as she is ALWAYS trying to eat. I can't wait until she gets out of the puppy stage.

They are so cute and funny as puppies. When we got our puppy last year, our older dog Murphy (puppy is Shiloh) he tried to hide from Shiloh as much as possible. Now they are pretty good friends. Although Shiloh loves to eat, eat and eat some more still today.
