Fall is truly a magical time of year ~ when the days grow shorter, the weather turns colder, and the leaves begin to turn ~ that's where the magic begins!
Since I'm trying to take better care of myself, I decided to go for a stroll at lunchtime yesterday to see if I couldfind some fall foliage. I live in Michigan and the colors are really just beginning to change, so it's very spotty. There are, however, bursts of brilliant hues of yellows, oranges, greens, reds, and browns. You just aren't apt to find a large chunk of color just yet ~ but it's coming! There was one dazzling tree at the school, but it wouldn't load for me as the file too large.

Here's a snippet of the color instead.
As I was crossing the road, I couldn't help but stop to snap a shot of this brilliant display.

I just loved the way the sun was hitting these leaves. It had rained just before I went outside and the sun decided to pop out for just a few moments, so I decided to capitalize on it!

Not much in the way of flowers along the way, but I did spot this single lovely rose!

Next I spotted some little red berries of some sort and thought they were lovely set against the dark green of the leaves.
Only one squirrel crossed my path yesterday ~ most unusual as they
seem to be in abundance these days. However, there was a dog out for a stroll too and I think he might have frightened any of the little bushy tails away.
This last parting shot was taken as I prepared to cross the street again and head back to work. I so hated to cut my walk short. It was tough to go back inside as I wanted to stay out and look and admire the dazzling fall colors.

Fall is a magical time of year...
Thank you for stopping by. Come again soon and, until then, take care.
