I play the piano, but I love to hear a trumpet being played. And I really enjoy jazz band concerts. My daughter plays the violin, piano, flute and bassoon. Two of my sons play the guitar. Two of them play the trumpet. And one plays the saxaphone and is learning the trumpet. My grandson plays the coronet.

I loved marching band, but also played in orchestra, musical orchestra and a quartet.
I only play the radio.
Seriously, though, I have an abundance of musical genes meself - no lack there. I play many instruments, but my lifelong passion has been for the most versatile of them all - the guitar.
When I was a 4 year old, my Dad brought back a beautiful Hohner scale-changer harmonica from Germany , it's a prized possession with me to this day. I've never looked back since then, picking up instruments of all shapes, sizes and tones and producing the odd note here and there ! :))
I would love to accompany you on the acoustic guitar while you play the "Moonlight Sonata", something I did often with my Mom uptil ten years back. She can't play the piano now, so I play for her instead when she's here.
The harmonica is still one of my faves, though. First love - best love, eh?!!! :) Thanks for starting this "bluesy" thread! Hugs.
I used to play several things, piano was one of them.
Flute, percussion, tried the guitar but hard to find a left handed one back then. I told myself I will get a native American hand made, are they flutes? Some day. I love the sound and some things you do not forget how to play.
When my hands got messed up it just hurt to much to continue the piano and organ.
My family was given a used organ from the church, it got much use!!
I love listening to anything live. Oregon has some very good musicians...... nice post!!
