Since we bought our Vizio, we have been having all kinds of problems with U-Verse!! From the remote not been able to control the U-Verse box to not being able to pause, rewind, and fast forward on our other 3 TV's, it's been one headache after another.
Not just this, but, when we first called AT&T, they sent a supposedly nice guy to take a look at the U-Verse box. He rebooted it. That didn't solve the problems, at all. He suggested that we may have to replace the box, but, that would mean losing everything we had DVR'd.
He was doing maintenance on our computer at the time, so, he said he would be back the next day because he had a scan running on our computer. We called the following day and he said he was on a different job and that he shouldn't have even been in our area!! What the hey!! He never showed up!
Because of the computer maintenance, he said for us not to mention the problem with our computer to AT&T. Does this sound fishy to you? It sounded very fishy to me, too!!
To say the least, our computer is still freezing up on us and our U-Verse box is still acting up on us. We paid $50 to get our computer fixed and we got nothing in return. When we called about the $50, they couldn't find any records of this transaction!!
My hubby is fit to be tied and I can't say that I blame him! The last tech guy that came out to our place was alot nicer and he said that it isn't the TV because, of course, it's new. It's the U-Verse box. He said the HDMI cable was what was causing the problems with the box, so, he disconnected it and attached another type of cable. This helped for a fraction of a moment, before we started to see the same problem.
We have decided, emphatically, to return to Dish Network, which is the service we had before. Have any of you had any major problems with U-Verse? We'll be happy to be saying goodbye to U-Verse!! I think, AT&T is a goner in my hubby's book, too!!

I think I'll just stay with my good old cable company......
sorry you guys are having so many problems with them...
I'd be pulling what's left of my hair out if I had to go that long without....
