BAD TASTE
It is amusing to see people who have developed no apparatus for drawing critical judgments as they pretend that
they are qualified to judge the preferences taste of others.
Particularly since they have likely developed no insight into the origins of their own personal tastes.
A recent book called Spent: Sex, Evolution, and Consumer Behavior, by Geoffrey Miller, does not address aesthetics as much as it attempts to explain the origins of consumer drives in human evolution. It is one of those texts that would deflate the smugness of self-appointed palidins of culture, but it seems a safe bet that said meddlers will never read it.
