Darn it! It's Raining Again...and We're Back Under a Flood Wtch....

It's just pouring again....and a lot of us are worried. We are back under a flood watch, since 4 inches of rain is predicted. We DON'T NEED this rain, and now a few roads are being closed off "just in case."

Yes, I know there is nothing I can do about the rain, but I WANT IT TO STOP.....

Me too....it's going to rain all night and tomorrow..... The big problem is the ground is already saturated.
Considering all you've gone through, I hope the rain stops quickly, without the damage the last storm brought!

I hope you won't get flooded out again. It sounds like you've gotten way more than your share of rain this year. I hope the rain will stop and the ground will dry up before any more damage is done.

Ah -- it's like that old Brook Benton song, "Rainy Night in Georgia." My niece used to live in Albany -- now she's out in Oregon. I know how you feel -- we're right here just a mile or two from the mighty Mississippi, so we're really glad we have a decent dike -- after that '65 flood which sure impacted our lives. We lost a piano but fortunately not much else. Thanks for posting this and I'll send some sunshine your way!

OH, NO! I hope it's lighter than expected. I know it gets stressful around here when the ground gets saturated and trees and hills start moving. Here's sending you showers, not downpour!

Jax, sorry to hear this. We're having rain and supposed to for the rest of the week, but not like with the grief you've had. I'm just going to hope for you now. Have the schools been open since that horrible rain that washed out the roads? Stay safe.

My county has 2 schools that were destroyed from the flooding...the kids have been split up and moved to a couple of other places. I think in total there were 7 schools around the state destroyed.

It's just raining so hard right now....I can't believe it.

Me too....and it's actually stopped raining for now. It still looks like it could start up any time though. I want the SUN NOW!

that sucks...hopefully it won't be as bad as what's being predicted...

we've had rain off and on here for about the last week, including thunderstorms off and on for the last few days, but definitely nothing as bad as what you guys have been getting

I'll hope it doesn't get any worse for you all there. Just remember a few years ago when we wouldn't get any rain to save our lives and we were in danger of running out of water!

It started hitting my area on the coast overnight. It's a nice, light steady rain though. The storm was tracking straight east when I went to bed. I haven't looked at the radar yet today to see if it's shifted.

Nope, just more rain. I'm so sick of rain....it poured last night and then rained again this afternoon.

I figure if we can make it (somehow) to the 20th, we may be alright. We only get paid once a month, so we're scraping the bottom of the barrel at the moment.

Wish your rain would just come here. Even when they say it's going to rain here it doesn't. It did "mist" all day yesterday. Was supposed to rain here all week, but now they're saying it's going to be sunny tomorrow.
