A family in our church lost their teenage son yesterday to the swine flu. He was only 13, and my heart goes out to them. I can't even begin to imagine what the parents are going through right now.
It makes me want to hug my boys a little harder and a little longer each night. About two years ago, another family lost their toddler in a weird, tragic accident in their home. He was only a few months older than my son, and I remember sitting in my toddler's room for hours watching him sleep, and crying for that precious little boy and his family. I know my tears didn't ease their pain, but it was all I could do.
My children are my life, and I just can't imagine what I would do without them.

We are doing everything we can to protect our family, especially with two small children in the house.
