Sitting in the corner, the child shook. All he could hear was the whirl and twirl of the crazy, cotton-candy music. He knew soon, he would be next, and then it would be the end, the forever end.
Suddenly a scream breaks through the craziness. Tears welled up his eyes. He didn't want to cry, he wanted to be a "brave soldier" like his father always told him to be. But tonight, tonight with all the terror surrounding him, how could he be?
A hand reached out to him. "Time to go, your next."
The boy stood up weakly, letting the hand guide him into the school hallway made up to be haunted for the Halloween party.

OK, dare ya, the rest of you to try this, it's fun. Double-dare ya. So there!
Course, I'm not the judge for this month, so I have no clout at all, but I'm going to do one. A non-challenge one though. R. M. (Doc) Livingston's the judge for this month, he's got a great sense of humor.
