Daily Freewrite 10/04/09

It is always a reassuring sound to hear the birds chirpping and tweeting in the morning to know all is well with the world. When I look out my back window I see all different colors an kinds of birds lollygaggin around all of the bird feeders in the big old oak tree.

They are just having a great morning as they eat and chirp about the lastest activities.

The colors and variety are amazing. Red birds, yellow birds, humming birds, brown birds, and somehow all these birds get along together even though they are different in size and shape and color.

Then at around nine oclock the squirrels come out running accross the high electric wires and trees making sounds like "Come out! Come out! The humans are gone!".

They run and play and are so amazing to watch. I know all is well with the world when

I see this amazing show every morning and the sunrise too.

Nice write Robin, but apparently you didn't see or hear what I witnessed. Yes, the birds where at the feeder, the squirrel climbed the tree ready to fly through the air onto the feeder, when a red shoulder hawk came and perched on another tree. All birds scattered, squirrel also. The hawk stayed quiet, taking in the view, then a jay flew down to the hawk's back. The hawk turned his head, the jay made another attack, the hawk flew off. So all is not well within this back yard, as yours.

d d. I can hear the birds with the windows closed...lol .. The birds always build a next over my front door too and have their babies.. no matter where I have lived. I take that
as a good luck omen.

thank you Susan! Yes for now Kentucky, but its going to be getting colder here in november. We have milder weather than we used to. But my birds are loud enough I can
hear them thru the double paine windows.
