How about some home-made Carmelcorn? I posted the easy microwave version a long time ago. Snuck that in between removing two tile floors today, starting at 5am. Not nice enough to be outside to finish painting the house.

I went back to school - so I have been super busy!

A glass of iced tea would be perfect right now. Nice time for a little visit too, I think. All quiet here for right now, but that won't last long. 6pm the game starts and Moses is geared up for it. I'm geared up to go upstairs and read a book. Oh, me, he does love his football games. The neighbors will know we are home tonight regardless of the lights in the front being off. They'll hear Moses. They'll also be able to know who is winning.

What are your plans for the evening, Norma? Anything to watch on t.v. tonight?

Moses has football. Donald has controller.Did you read that joke someone posted either on gather or I got in my personal email? About the woman who went to the checkout counter at the store. She was looking for the checkbook. The checker noticed the woman had a controller in her purse. .......she asked the woman if she always carried one. ,,,,the lady said no, her husband would never go anywhere with her. He always wanted to stay home and watch football. ,,,,,This was the only thing I could do to hurt him, that was legal.

Oh, that is funny, Norma, and I will have to tell Moses. No doubt he'll give me a funny look and say we are conspiring against him. The thought of losing his remote might put him into shock.

I know , my daughter did talk to everyone on gather, now she spends her time on facebook and doesnt get rewards, like we do on gather. It may be slower here..My friends are in both places.

MY Nascar race comes on at 2:00 today. Yay! Chloe wants to run back up town and exchange her Halloween costume...but I think time is going to run out!!

Hi everyone. Almost got the new apartment the way I want it, and Apricot loves to sit on the windowsill and watch gulls, and growl and the dogs going by.

Went to the Farmer's Market yesterday. Its wonderful to just walk a couple of blocks to get there.

My garden didn't produce this year. Usually you can find a vegebatle stand up and down the highways. Not this year, I must not be the only one whose garden burned up.

Hi Norma. Stopping by for a cup of coffee. Thought I'd just sit for a minute. Am going to put a roast on for supper. I will be tickled to have that done, and supper already taken care of for today. It is another gray and wet day here. Moses is fussing about it. He is tired of the rain. I don't blame him since he has to drive to work in it.

Am going to say a little prayer for Elsie right this second. She's have the pacemaker replaced this morning. Bet she's back to her old self by tonight. Or at least I hope so.

And I guess Wilma's busy with the grandkids right now. Haven't heard from her yet this morning. Her travel plans yesterday were affected by a dust storm. Can you imagine that? A dust storm in Washington state. Who'd have thought?

They finally opened the highway last night at 8 PM. It's the main cross state highway and had been closed for 20 hrs due to that really bad dust storm. There had been a big wreck on the road during the night. Several nearby county roads were shut down too.

I'm back to my usual routine with the kids. It was 32 when I got up this morning. I finally broke down and turned on the furnace when I got home from the Y at noon. It was 58 inside and felt like an ice box. Of course, I was all hot and sweaty from the Y so that made it feel even colder.

Thanks for the update about Elsie, lynn. Not having been around here for 2 wks, I don't know what is going on anywhere!

It's sunny with blue skies here but kind of chilly. The thermometer says it's 58 but it doesn't FEEL very warm due to the cold wind blowing. I saw a tiny bit of snow scattered at the top of the mountain pass when I came home yesterday but there wasn't any snow on the road. It's supposed to be in the 20's every night this wk so I suppose there might be snow around somewhere but most likely not right here in town.

Have to go get busy. I have 2 hrs til I have to be back over and get the kids after school. Liam is coming home with me on Mondays as both Caty and Jacob are busy with activities. He and I are enjoying the time together.

You have been one busy woman. I knew you missed your special time with Liam.
It is so good to hear from you , been such a long time.

I am going to TRY and do at least a few minutes of commenting every day. I'm so behind and don't know what is going on with people.

Liam will be here til about 7 PM. Ray will call me when he and Jacob leave the soccer field and I will meet them about 2 miles from here. That saves me having to drive clear back over to their house tonight. Shan is at gymnastics with Caty.

Tomorrow afternoon, I volunteer in Liam's class again. I'm going to be doing that for 3 hrs every Tuesday. I just got back last night from my latest visit to Madison.

Wilma, great to see you. The snow on Mount Ranier was most spectacular when we lived in Washington. We had a huge window in our living room and we could see the mountain easily every day. The entire time we were there there was snow on the mountain. At one point it was at the top part only, but that was still spectacular to us. And to see that range and snow was awesome. That probably is the best view we ever had.

Glad you are back. 20's is too cold for me. It felt very cold to us last night but had to have been in the 50's. We didn't break down yet and turn on the heat, although we almost did. It's long john weather now. The days are still not bad as far as being too cold. Daytime temps will be in the 70's still this week. We can handle that. And we should adjust to the 50's at night. Hoping to hold out on using the heat til November.

Norma, thought I'd stop by for a cup of coffee. Moses has more football on the t.v. But I'm not about to fuss. He does love his football. And he's folding laundry while he's watching. Nothing much going on here except football and Gather.

Hi JoAnn. Don't you root for the Pittsburgh Steelers? I still don't quite understand your mystery football game, but get it that it is a lot of fun. Wonder does my husband do this. I really don't know. Well, in any event, just consider me sitting rooting with you when you are rooting, unless of course, you are rooting against the Giants. Or Peyton's team. Otherwise, we're 100% in agreement.

Good afternoon, Norma. Where are you today? My computer is beginning to act up. The weather's not so good here, although there aren't any storms right here. Maybe somewhere else. Another gray, gray, rainy day. And such a calm day. I like the calm. Thought I'd stop in for a good cup of coffee.

Norma, Kathryn posted a photo essay, number II of her husband's trip, in it there is a photo of a honky tonk that you will love to see. Go check it out. I enjoyed it. Texas is famous the world over. And the other photos are GORGEOUS!

Doing a bit of laundry today and already have supper cooked, since we will eat leftovers. This is a good day.
