Inanna, Goddess supreme
navigating beyond mortality
naked, yet clothed in regality
Sister, Beware your scheme!

Enheduanna worshipped Inanna,
sometimes called Nanna,
She did not worship Anna...
She was the high priestess of the moon god, Nanna.

That would be whom
the Greeks called Selene
Not Aphrodite.
Goddess of love and war
were Venus and Mars

The underbar preceding Anna may be an indication of a lacuna.

I wonder why the eight pointed star latter transforms into the directions of chaos!
Enheduana is really amazing and a pioneer of feminism in her own right. Think of the era of more than 2000 years BC!

Here is a Wiccan tradition:
The eight-pointed star is ancient spiritual symbol with possible origins in Sumaria. There it symbolized Anu, the Creator God. The eight-pointed star also signified Inanna, Goddess of Morning and Evening. This interwoven symbol, with design variations, can be found in many cultures from the Vikings to the American Indian. It shows up in the mystical sciences of the Middle Ages and is present in most of the world’s religions. It is a symbol of magic and is associated with magical forces. The number eight signifies strength and beauty, dominion, confidence, good judgment and power.

Here is a Christian tradition:
The Eight Pointed Star is the cross of Saint John. It originated in the Maltese Cross, the emblem of the Knights of Malta, and was used by the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem at the time of the Crusades. The eight points represent the knightly virtues of tact, perseverance, gallantry, loyalty, dexterity, explicitness, observation, and sympathy.
Nanna was the moon god and Inanna(I shortened it to Anna for poetic purposes) was his daughter. Yes, Enheduanna, the daughter of Sargon of Kish was the priestess in Ur, Iraq in charge of the temple and did worship and write about Inanna.
