Today was my orthopedic appt...and yeah!!!! I got my cast off. I still have some issues with my arm, like I can't turn it in certain ways without it hurting...BUT, the cast is off. That's such a relief. I will probably never be able to straighten it all the way ever again, but I'm okay with that. I am suppose to go back in to the doc in another 2 weeks to have it checked again. If I still have problems, then I'll be sent to physical therapy. I am trying hard to avoid that.
Angela goes in Monday to the doctor to have her feet checked. She has a growth (it's not a wart) on the bottom of one of her feet that is bothering her to the point that she's having problems. It's hurting her to just walk, let alone dance. I'm hoping it's not like the tumor on her tummy that was removed several years ago. That could end up being a major problem.
We're waiting for answers from the insurance company about Pher's meds still. According to the doctor's office today, they have faxed the information to the insurance company 3 times now, with no response. The insurance company hasn't returned their calls either. Since I have to go in there Monday (my allergies, asthma, and ezcema are terrible right now), I'm hoping to get some answers. I have this feeling that I'm going to be spending most of Monday on the phone with the insurance co.
So....that's what's going on here....(and I don't wanna discuss the flood damage at the moment, as it's too depressing).

I'm so glad that you FINALLY got your cast off. That's a relief just by itself. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers (if you want?) for the rest of the things to go well. Insurance companies are notorious for doing things like that, though I don't have any, I remember when.....
Good luck and please check back in?
Marilyn
I know all too well how they work or don't work. I had long term disability at the city where I worked but was injured on my way to work so workman's comp didn't help. The woman who hit me died and her insurance only paid $5,000 toward my over $20,000 in med bills. The long term insurance companies doctor who never saw me only some paper work, the co. was in Tenn. not here in Ga., said since my job was light duty I could go back to work. That was ten years ago and I've not been able to work a day since the accident.
No love lost as far as insurance companies are concerned from my corner...
Hope things work out for you and your family Jax and your arm does better than you think it will. The body some times surprises us the way it can heal.
:O)
Maybe Angela has a callous. Those are deep and super painful. I got them on both my feet from hiking boots and they still flair up from time to time. I've worn hiking sneekers ever since. So maybe the dance shoes caused something.
On your arm, you can do some excercises yourself to gain back mobility. Soaking your arm in hot bath/sink water for 10 minutes and then turn door knobs 50 times in each wrist direction. Also flexing your hand up and back then down and in for x-number of reps. Touching your shoulder helps too.
I can't believe what you have subjected Lilly to, these injuries and the weather. I am especially mad at maggie, why didn't she warn Lilly. and the days of dress up...well don't get me started ;-)
Maybe things will start looking up moving forward, I sure hope so.
I'm ready for some good news as I am sure you are too! We were without a car for 4 days....and just had $750 in car repairs done, then the next day after having the car for less than 24 hours... the head gasket goes which will be $1000 in additional repairs that we don't have either...so we have no car at all and I am hoping to rely again on the kindness of others to get to the grocery store
It is good news that you got your cast off but you sure are having a bad streak of luck. It is bound to change soon.
I'm glad your cast is off but man when it rains it pours there huh. No pun intended. Hehe.
