After two great episodes The Office season 6 episode 3, titled "The Promotion" took a step back, but there were still a few funny parts. Like I mentioned in last weeks' post the acting ability of Steve Carell continues to shine as he just creates awkwardness out of every situation.
Episode 3 didn't disappoint in the awkwardness department as Michael Scott and Jim Halpert start in with the battles as they try to work as co-managers. They are given the task of distributing raises but the problem is they can't give a raise to everybody. So in normal Michael Scott manner, he goes about solving the problem by acting like a child and disagreeing with everything Jim says. It should be interesting where they take this co-manager storyline.
The other backdrop of the episode was Pam discreetly hinting that they didn't register anywhere but instead they just want cash money. The Halpert/Beasley wedding is one week away as The Office will be a special one hour episode next Thursday.
Funniest line of the show: As Kevin is writing out the check for the wedding present to Pam he says: "In the memo line I'm going to write..To Love's Eternal Glory"
The Office airs on Thursday's at 9:00 p.m. EST on NBC. Past episodes can be seen on nbc.com and hulu.com. Swing by the Fans of The Office group to discuss the show.
