Our newly adopted kitten, Gracie, had a big adventure today.
In a feat of remarkable agility and daring, Gracie went for an unexpected and fast ride.
Demonstrating that cats do, indeed, have nine lives, Gracie stepped out from the upstairs balcony onto the blade of the ceiling fan, slipped and landed safely in a soft chair. It's a drop of about eight feet.
I'll let Gracie tell the story from a kitten's view...
Today, I decided to explore the upper floor of my new home.
I walked along the hallway toward the balcony.

There's Mom's chair. Looks soft and comfy.

On the other side of the balcony railing, I saw something interesting. It looked like fun. I've seen it spinning around, but today it's not moving.

Guess I'd better take a closer look. That looks big enough for me to stand on, but is it safe? Can I boldly go where no cat has gone before?

No guts, no glory! One small step for Gracie, one giant leap for .......Eeeeeeeeeek! What a ride! Glad the chair was here.

Well, that was exciting, but I don't think I'll try it again!

Now, what else can I get into? A kitten's life is always busy!

:-D
such a cute kitty
I had one kitten that liked to climb on the mantel. She was effectively discouraged after I placed a screaming flyswatter on the mantel. She only stepped on that screaming sucker once and never again walked on the mantel.
I'm glad she found a soft landing.
Wow...what a clean ceiling fan you have.
so glad she is ok
Well ... those blades looked solid enough. Guess they were a little wobblier than she expected. Is she smart enough to not jump on them when it's running? eek.
Thanks for making me smile.
btw: where's the disclaimer, y'know; "No animals were harmed or eaten during the making of this film". lol
