Hello and Good Afternoon. I am killing a bit of time on the computer before going to the doctor for the 5th weekly shot into my knee, none of which have done any good. I am going to ask the doctor today to make an appointment for me with the surgeon to see if he will operate and do a total knee replacement on my knee. I can't live my life in pain and not being able to get around. Its always something! I hope you are having a great day!

Janet, I just had another shot in my back and it isn't helping either. I hurt for days after and it's just not worth it.

Shannon, I had the knee shot today and it hurt REALLY, really bad!!! I nearly went through the ceiling. That was the last shot and the shots didn't help at all. My appointment with the surgeon is November 2nd to see if he will do surgery--the sooner the better. Until then, my doctor said to keep taking Vicodin 10/650 and maximum strength Motrin and to stay off my left leg. It sure isn't fun to be in pain, is it?

No it isn't. It's like that's all my life is about anymore.

I would love some hot cocoa. It's been a while since I've had any.

Me too, havent had hot cocoa in a while. May I sit with you? I just mentioned to Donald that I would really like a cup of hot cocoa. Perhaps with some marshmallows .

Hi Norma. I'm in the car on the way home for the weekend. Am going to a ~thing~ at the university I went to for my undergrad this weekend; I'm on a panel. So a good excuse to go home. 'Course I still have to get my homework done too...but will worry about that on Sunday.

Hi Norma. A cup of hot chocolate does sound good. I'd prefer some real whipped cream in mine.

It's clouding up here. So far no rain but it isn't far off, I don't think. Sure do hate to see it come this time.

It's felt like Friday all day. I keep thinking Moses gets to come home this evening and gets to stay for the weekend, then remember it's only Thursday again. Sad.

It won't be long til Halloween now. You know what that means, don't you? Hint. Hint.

HI Norma. I could use a cup of coffee. It's a chilly New England night this evening.

I think coffee sounds good, I really never drink it, but give me a nice piece of chocolate cake with it that I can't eat either, and I'm all set, Sorry I haven't been around too much, many doctor things, between me and Mark, having my pacemaker replaced maybe next week sometime, see the surgeon tomorrow, not worried, just don't like the idea of anyone fooling with my heart beats, even for a few seconds, tried it on me to see what it would feel like if it were failing, at 30 beats per minutes , not nice, so I can't really drive until I get this taken care of , I think they should have seen me three months ago, but they scheduled the appointment. They wanted on Monday for me to have it this week, and they can't get a surgeon. Maybe next Friday, hope he doesn't operate early, lol.
well , I could sleep through it then. Take care of yourself Norma, Billy's shingles are getting better, have to put something up about that, might try now to write something before he calls again, wow, good thing I have lots of cell phone minutes on my plan, love, Elsie

Elsie, I know about the pacemaker's , daddy had one. We had to get a new one, when the battery was getting to weak on the old one.

I missed the part about Billy having shingles. Is he still in California.

Yes, that is what is happening to mine, saw the doctor today, surgery is on Monday, I will do a humor Monday about it, lol, and yes Billy will be staying in California, he has moved there for good, Mark is now with me, we are like the odd couple, nothing like having your 58 year old son who has been on his own for 37 years move home, but we are okay, taking care of each other.

I knew Billy was toing to see his true love, Elise isn't it. I did think they would come back and be with you for a while. ,,,,,,,,,,,I am sure you and Mark living together is very different.

We had Mark's son and wife over for dinner tonight, they just left, it was fun, my house is neater, and we enjoy each other, but I still miss Billy, he calls me every day at least once. Suzi is Billy's fiance's name, Elise is his sister, my name with letters turned around. She will be 18 in "February, doesn't seem possible at all, My house is neater, lol, love Elsie

I guess I am impressed with how neat my house is , lol, used it twice up there, nite.

I had to read that several times to figure it out. I sounded like Marks wife, which I do remember was Gloria. But you said Marks son and wife. It took me a while. I too had a bad day yesterday.

Hi Norma. It sure does feel like lunchtime and some iced tea would be perfect. I do hope your weather is as beautiful as ours. We did have rain last night,but have beautiful skies today. We're planning on planting some greens today when Moses gets home. Hope we haven't waited too late. This means I have to go out and finish cleaning out the summer vegetable plants to make way for the greens.

Flit's having a big day today and that means we'll probably get to hear about the goings on when she gets a chance to write about it all.

I'm leaving one of Shannon's Harvest Snack cakes on the counter. Made if fresh this morning. Love that stuff.

I tried to find you flitting around Lynn and your last article is so full , what more can I say about your adorable Halloween costume. LOL You know I love ya girl.

Hi Norma. I get on but don't seem to be able to stay for long. Although yesterday I was on quite a bit. This morning we've been pulling still more plants out of the garden and getting it cleaned up to cast the greens seeds out. We really want to get that done today. And I did cook Moses a big breakfast this morning of mostly leftovers, but he eats leftovers and doesn't bat an eye. We had fried green tomatoes using the Betty's Fish Fry and they were so good plus leftover beans and rice and then some scrambled eggs and leftover sausage. I'd say Moses is probably good til supper time. I hope so. Just got the kitchen cleaned up and we made a quick run to the bank. Now I guess I better go back outside and help finish with the garden. So I will stop back in later for some iced tea.

By the way, I pulled all of the small green tomatoes off the vine before bagging the vines. Seems to me there is something people make akin to a chow chow with green tomatoes diced up, but for the life of me, I just don't know what it is. Do you? Maybe Shannon (Aunt Shanty) knows. Will email her. I have 2 big mixing bowls full of small green tomatoes. It would be a shame for them to go to waste.
