I have a shih tsu, he is bigger than most shih tZus but still a small dog. The neighbot has a service dog that I think is at least part german shepard, tho smaller than normal but larger by double than my dog.
Jasmine is always on her chain, but tonight my nieghbor was sitting outside, drunk, had just broke his nose by walking into his car and his dog was running loose. I come walking out to let wiggles walk along the street before going to get my husband from work. Jasmine attacks and has Wiggles in his back goinjg for his belly. Fortunately he needs groomed bad and she couldn't get her teeth thru his fur. I jumped in and beat her off. she is trained to not attack people and that training held. she wanted my dog not me.
I yell for Mike but Jasmine ran off. I took Wiggles inside. Then later went to go get hubby, wiggles was with me and out from behind the car comes Jasmine. She gets wiggles trapped again and I grab her collar, yelling for Mike. He finally gets his dog, mine is cowering on the porch and took me forever to coax him off to get into the car.

He was drunk this time, I have never seen him drunk before this, I knew he drank occassionally, but he hasn't made it a habit to be soused in public most the time. I lived here a year now.
Jasmine is perfect around people and she don't bother the other neighbors dog, but she don't like my dog for some reason, could be cause he's a male, I don't no. When I got between them she didn't try to snap at or bite me but wanted just my dog.
I try not to have much to do with my neighbors, one is a raging drunk, and Mike, jasmines owner, is something else I don't want to know. lol
My co-worker asked the same thing, she also uses a C-pap
But the man should have had his dog under control. To drunk to help?
I hope your dog is ok.
