Starbucks has a new “ready brew” coffee and it's called Starbucks VIA. They’re guessing you can’t tell the difference between this new stuff and their regular, barista-brewed drip coffee.

Starting October 2nd through October 5th -- Head to your local Starbucks and they’ll set you up with a sample of Colombia Starbucks VIA and one of just-brewed Pike Place Roast, then ask you to identify which is which.

I'm sure I couldn't taste the difference since I don't drink coffee. I usually go there on weekends but maybe now I'll have to avoid it if they're going to be busy. D'OH!

Ooo this is good to know!

I was in target today and the starbucks sales people stopped me with a free sample cup of the instant brew.
It was good, but I could still tell it was instant.

Oh yeah? That's too bad you could still tell it was instant :o(

I don't drink Starbucks enough so I'm sure I wouldn't be able to tell... I hate spending money on coffee so I make it at home with my Senseo machine. It costs me about $5 every 2.5 weeks for coffee making it at home so I guess I'm saving a lot, huh?

I might pop in to Starbucks though for a FREE one since we have one in our Safeway store.
