Seems we're getting a lot of non-clickable links again, so I reckon it's time for another presentation of "Chuck's Simple Poppy Links!"
OK now, let’s make a poppy (clickable) link, so when you send your posts thru group mails, folks can just click ‘em, rather than copy-and-paste. I mean, really… what’s more annoying than that? No, don’t send me a list...
OK – here’s a copy-and-paste URL:
http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977614423&nav=MyGather
To make it clickable (color for emphasis only – not required):
1) add this to the front: <a href="
2) add this to the end: ">Article Title</a>
Giving us:
<a href="http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977614423&nav=MyGather">Your Article’s Title</a>
If you do this, voila! You have a clickable link WITH your article’s title as the only thing that shows.
Some of the stuff in my original post is now available as format in comment boxes, but if you wish to underline, do the folllowing:
1) <u> in front of the word
2) </u> behind the word
3) underline (since this box has format buttons, I had to use those... the html version doesn't really work)

1. right-click on it and
2. left-click on "copy"
3. place your cursor where you want the html to go
4. right-click
5. left-click on "paste"

For spell check I'll move it in and out of word.
That book is an old book (1998) by Elizabeth Castro - HTML 4 for the world wide web.
By the way I save those txt files and cut and paste into them in notepad.
