This is the first time I have noticed peeling paint, soda caps & paper on the walkways, overflowing trash cans- at any WDW park. (I have photo's to post.)
At $84.00 a single day one park admission, you have to wonder if they are feeling the 'money pinch'?
I noticed fewer Cast Members, which to me showed fewer to clean up.
I also have to wonder if MK is showing it's age? Because of less CM's to maintain it, as Walt Disney wanted, and would have done.
We walked in to MK and it was decorated nicely for Mickey's not so Scarey Halloween Party. I think next year I do want to attend that event.
Noticing that the park was not so crowded, we commented to a Cast Member it seemed slow, and he said yes today is (Sunday -afternoon 2:00pm).
I thought okay, geeze it will be a great day, not so many people. Well that did work to our favor most of the time
We took a right and headed over to Tomorrowland.
The rundown of what we did/did not do:
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor - walk on. Nice to sit and cool off, but overall did not find it so funny.
Space Mountain - closed for Rehab (My favorite in Tomorrowland)
Carousel of Progres- walk on. This always nice, brings back memories and nice to sit and relax.
Decided to get something to eat, after snagging a fast pass for "Buzz", headed over to Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. We shared a Turkey Bacon Wrap, and a Greek Salad, I also had Chicken Soup. (not feeling well, had a head cold or allergies)
After eating, we headed over to
Tomorrowland Transit Authority - walk on. We find it a nice relaxing way to see Tomorrowland, while planning the rest of the day.
Astro Orbiter - 95 minute wait, we passed on this.
Stitch's Great Escape-60 minute wait, we passed on this.
"Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin" - wow -peeling paint, after boarding Buzz ridecar. Had a balst on Buzz, but suddenly Buzz stopped and remained stopped for 30 minutes, many Disney annoucements, inclusing one where a CM would be escorting us out. Buzz suddenly started working, we were handed a 'any ride fast pass' on exit but no CM said 'sorry or anything" Hubby videoed the whole thing to post on youtube. Thank god for my husband, he had people doing the wave, to keep the kiddies calm, so despite the 30 minutes it was fun.
Decided to head over to Fantsyland
The rundown of what we did/did not do:
"it's a small world" -5 minute wait, love this ;-)
Mad Tea Party - passed hubby said he'd get sick
Mickey's PhilharMagic - 90 minute wait, passed on it - love this
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - again noticed peeling paint on the Hunny Pots, also hunny Pot seemed quite dirty, fun ride. Only reason we went on, was as we walked by a guy said to my husband here I have these fast passes and we are leaving.
Peter Pan's Flight - 60 minute wait time posted, line was wrapped backoutside around ride twice. I think the wait time was longer, so we passed.
Headed off to Liberty Square:
The rundown of what we did/did not do:
The Hall of Presidents - skipped it.
The Haunted Mansion - walk on, love love love this.
Liberty Square Riverboat - closed for Refurbishment.
Adventureland, next
The rundown of what we did/did not do:
Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management - 60 minute wait, skipped this
Jungle Cruise - Cruise down the Nile, the Amazon, the Congo and the Mekong Rivers with your entertaining guide, 90 minute wait skipped this.
Magic Carpets of Aladdin -60 minute wait
Pirates of the Caribbean -walk on- love the addition of Jack Sparrow.
Swiss Family Treehouse passed on it, it was raning.
Headed to FrontierLand
The rundown of what we did/did not do:
Country Bear Jamboree - 90 minute wait, skipped it
Snagged Fast Pass for Splash Headed to Big Thunder.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - used Fast Pass issued from Buzz wait, walk on for fast pass, love this ride. Noticed peeling paint on train car.
Splash Mountain - handed C.M. fast pass- only to be next to board, when told ride has had a techinal issues and stopped working, not offered a fast pass, as we walked off. It is good to note Splash was down when we left park at 9:00PM
Tom Sawyer Island - passed as it was raning again.
Walt Disney World Railroad - 60 minute wait, passed.
Saw "Wishes" fireworks, noticed the crowds of people packing MK for "Wishes" and told hubby OMG it is going to be crowded a CM heard me and said" it will thin out after 8:00pm when the non WDW Resort guests leave.
Had extended magic hours because we were staying at the Dolphin.
Walked around in Main Street shops, purchased a Rice Krispies treat to take back to room and left.

I worked as a supervisor at an amusement park for 5 years in high school and early years of marriage. You do the best you can...especially when it's open year round like Disney and Epcot are.
But I have never seen Disney parks rides have peeling paint, they have nighttime maintence for this - unless they have cut the nighttime maintence.
EPCOT is even worse.. kind of a BACK TO THE 60's tech.
Epcot needs a few attraction updates.
Nice to remember the rides with your descriptions! Glad you had fun, despite the problems.
it's always fun to go to WDW
Universal has great Annual Pass prices, espically on renweal rates we are passholders
