I was watching CNN the other night and Wolf Blitzer(awesome name:) was interviewing MM about his new movie. He said one thing that struck as odd. He was asked what he thought President Obama should do. He said Mr President do not compromise.
What an odd thing to say and think. I heard him say to Obama no compromise but that is exactly what he wants the Republicans to do. How can you ask one side to stand firm but expect the other side to fold and go along?
Does this sound odd to anyone else but me?

So, it sounds like M.M. is saying that if you want to fix it, Mr. President, and particularly since the right wing is showing it's only interested in reclaiming the White House and has no intention of cooperating, then by all means get the job done as YOU see that it should be done. After all, Mr. President, the country elected YOU to solve the problems, not a committee of naysayers.
At least, that's what I think he meant.
Partisans live on a different planet. Normal logic does not apply here. To a partisan, a bi-partisan bill is a cause for despair.
Actually, I'd like to see more such gridlock. Its when the two sides work together is when we really get screwed.
