Too tired to do any more tonight I think ....so I shall just ramble on here for a bit and then toddle off to bed.
Been working on scholarship applications - a total PITA right now. Needed to write a one page Plan of Study - which I did ... but now that I have to do a 2 page version of the same damn thing, finding it SO hard to expand on. Maybe I should have done them the other way round - but the 1 pager is due 2 weeks earlier than the 2, so... yeah.... hopefully by the time I wake up I'll have gotten over the 1 page restriction and be able to blather on a bit.
Yeah I know - who would ever expect me to have trouble filling 2 pages!?
Especially about something I feel so strongly about!?
Tomorrow's another day.
Likely to be a full one - no classes, but lots of meetings and the scholarship workshop. Meeting with Z. to show him what I have done on my digital archive project, too, and not exactly thrilled with what I have - will probably get another couple of hours in on that before I go in and meet with him too.
Got the orange room rented for October - February. Not orange anymore, but whatever. The person that had it last year when it was orange needs a place for a few months and called tonight and of course (since it's sitting there empty - well, not empty, but not earning any $$ either - John has been dumping stuff into it but now he'll just have to clean it all out again) ... anyway ... glad it's rented. 3 down, 1 to go.
Got some responses to my ad for the Victoria Harbour house as well - so far all wanting a great deal for the $$ we're asking ... is there a garage? A basement? Can I bring my pets (one of them has both cats and dogs - she breeds the dogs)? Is smoking allowed? Is that all inclusive?
What's weird is that not one of them seems to have a flipping clue WHERE Victoria Harbour is! Why would you be interested in moving to a community that you've no idea about? And if you are truly interested in moving there, how about YOU google it and find out if there is a catholic school or a doctor's office or what-the-hell-ever? What do I look like, the Chamber of Commerce? Hell, make an appointment and come see it - what is it with the demand for pictures? I don't have pictures of the inside - well, I do, but they aren't on either of the 2 computers I have here; not even sure they're on the Dell at home; I suspect they are on the desktop which I used to have at home but which is now at the kids' apartment, although I don't think they're using it for anything.
At one point today, Ross raised the idea of selling it - lasted about 2 minutes LOL No surprise there - but it WOULD have some significant benefits. As in wiping out our line of credit, which would be nice. But he won't really sell it, and that's fine; we will find new tenants and all will be well for a year or two and then they'll start to irk us and eventually they'll move out and stiff us for a month or two's rent - that's how it works. Always.
So. What else? Oh, for Lynn and Jax and Barb and the rest of the Scrooge followers, he's fine, although he SO pissed me off this morning. Apparently he has decided that his need to pee is WAY more important than mine in the morning - and if I don't happen to agree, the solution is to run downstairs and pee on the floor!!!! He has NEVER peed in the house at home - but here, he seems to have ~got~ the difference, i.e. the attic apartment is our space and the rest of the house is fair game. NOT IMPRESSED! And then, after I cleaned up the mess in the dining room I was mad at him and insisted on taking him outside (on a leash) anyway, even though he had no interest in going out because it was spitting rain - and the woman from down the street didn't see that we were out and she came by with her 2 black dogs that she can't control and Scrooge went nuts barking at them and carrying on. He did not endear himself to me this morning.
Of course, it's really not his fault that she can't control her dogs and doesn't have enough sense to just keep walking - but still - he doesn't HAVE to be such an asshole.
He's not usually with other dogs - but he seems to have picked up on the fact that she is terrified of him and that her dogs are not particularly sociable.
Anyway ..... think it's past time I finished up my farming on Farmville on Facebook and flitted off to bed.... have a good night y'all.

He is SUCH a turkey sometimes.
He's gone back home with Ross now - will have to figure something else out when he comes back later in the week. Maybe a baby gate so that he won't be able to go downstairs until I'm ready to take him.
