I rented the movie, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, the true story of the editor of Elle magazine in France who suffered a massive stroke at the age of 42 that left him completely paralyzed and mute. He learned to communicate by blinking to choose a letter when people recited the alphabet to him, slowly spelling each word. He ended up writing an entire book this way. He came to appreciate his family, especially his wife whom he had been cheating on. It was an inspirational story but also very sad.

My photo today is one of the many wines we've tasted this year...I love the label and the color of the bottle!

I heard about his story on NPR last year or so when he wrote the book..is he still alive?
Amazing situation..and he made the best of it..

I think the movie was nominated for an Oscar, and that's probably when you heard about it. I think it was written nearly 10 years ago. I don't want to give the ending away...
