The other day
I passed the way
it was the same
as yesterday
i saw myself playing
in the sand in the sun
in front of the long
verandah , having fun
oblivious of the roaring gun
sounding now in the distance
unaware of the cries and screams
panic bloodshed and death
in the streets and body pieces
in the streams of crimson mud
the other day
I passed the way
I saw my school
Oh what a fool must be the
one who got the fun and feeling
of winning by burning down the class
I saw myself in blue and white
and then shuddered with a fright
at the sight of the huge dark black gate
blocking my way of learning
I loved my school but now-
it is a dangerous place
we all know why?
the other day
I passed the way
and did not wish to set my eyes
on the house where I spent nine years
I had fears of seeing the Happiness love
care and company of my family
now in heaven All above-
The other Day
I wished I had not passed the way-
